Cleveland Park Listserv Hits 10,000!

The Cleveland Park Listserv hit a milestone late last night:  The 10,000th member joined.  The Cleveland Park Listserv has long enjoyed the status of being the largest neighborhood listserv in the United States, according to Yahoo. We previously announced a contest for the person who first correctly guessed the date when the 10,000th member mark would be achieved.

And we have a winner!  Ellie Ghatineh was the first to email us the magic date of September 24.  Ellie wins a box of delicious Parisian style macarons (not be be confused with ordinary macaroons) from the new Cacao bakery and cafe near the Cleveland Park Metro.  Congratulations, Ellie, and to all those who did not win, we recommend buying yourself a consolation prize box of macarons from Cacao!

Next expected milestone:  The 100,000th message.  Our last big message number milestone was #50,000 (you need to join the listserv to be able to read the message) about a pigeon stuck beneath the Uptown Theater's lighted sign, posted on Sunday, August 17, 2008 at12:39 am.  We're not taking entries yet, but by all means, start your calculations.
