State of DC Schools: Thumbs Up

This message was posted on the Cleveland Park Listserv today. From time to time we present in this space the most important messages that appear on our companion listserv.  We thought that this report from the Washington Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights merits attention.



Several neighbors have suggested that other members of our listserv might be interested in seeing a copy of the report on the State of the DC Public Schools issued earlier this week by the Washington Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights and some of the media coverage it generated.

The report, which updates an earlier version from 2005, finds that over the past five years there have been significant improvements in many parts of DCPS.
