Photo from the Library of Congress |
We're introducing a new, occasional feature on All Life Is Local: A Window to DC's Past, in which we present a photograph depicting what the District of Columbia was like way back when. These historical photographs never cease to captivate and fascinate us. This photo, taken in 1865, is of John C. Howard's stable on G Street between 6th and 7th.
Love the photos, but which G Street (NW, NE, SE, or SW)?
ReplyDeleteI tried to find that out, but all the Library of Congress had to say about the location was G Street. If anyone knows, let me know and update the photograph.
