Good Morning: There's an Election in a Month, Right?

Maybe having a one-party state is a good thing: Elected officials in the District of Columbia have more time to plan what they're going to do because DC's September primary is the de-facto election. That still doesn't mean that the candidates aren't out campaigning. If you're out and about today in Ward 3, chances are that you'll spot Mary Cheh, the Democratic incumbent and David Hedgepeth, the Republican challenger for the Ward 3 seat on the City Council.

And out is where we should all be. All the the weather forecasters are in agreement:  Mid-70's and sunny is what we're going to get in Washington, DC today.
