  1. Do you have any further details? It is sort of irresponsible of you to put up the police scanner call with no context or follow up. Also, that cartoon is offensive and you do not know (or say) whether a pistol is involved.
    Not cool.

  2. That's not a scanner call, it's from the DC alert email.

  3. Initially, I, too, thought this 'cartoon' was extreme. But as a person accosted twice by armed men (kids), I think if anyone becomes more diligent after seeing a 'scary' picture and it helps them from being robbed, well, let me just say this image is extreme, but not quite as extreme as looking down the barrel of a gun.

Also, this picture wasn't meant to convey the above-mentioned incident, it's just a picture they use with reporting robbery incidents.

  4. P.S.
I WANT to know, no matter how little the information given, where and when an armed robbery, burglary, etc., has happened ASAP. You never know if they s/he's still about the area.

I can get the fill-in info later. Just common smarts.

  5. I'm pretty new to this community (from out of state) and very unnerved by the number of daytime armed robbies/carjackings being reported around here recently. Is this an ongoing problem about which I'm just becoming aware or is there a sudden increase?

  6. I don't understand, why is the picture of a white dude in a jacket with a gun when you are looking for a black male in shorts and white t? Please don't add these illustrations, they just confuse the issue.
