Good Morning: There's a New Life Form

NASA Photo: Mono Lake, CA.
Does it help to know that it will be 1 degree warmer today than it was yesterday?  The high today will be about 41 degrees, and then when the sun goes down, the temperature will, too: in the upper 20's or lower 30's depending on if you're in the city or the "normally colder suburbs."

The amazing announcement from NASA yesterday wasn't about life being discovered on another world, as many people expected. It was about a brand new life form on earth. In California's Mono Lake there's bacteria unlike anything else on our planet. Instead of using phosphorus as one of the essential elements in its DNA, it is able to use arsenic, an element that's toxic to all known forms of life on Earth. Until now.
