Good Morning: Here Comes the Snow for Real

The white stuff you saw on the ground yesterday wasn't snow. It was salt. In the District, DPW's trucks were out in force, pre-salting for a snow that never came.

It's deja vu all over again. Saturday may give us an inch of snow. Afternoon highs will reach only to about 35 degrees and it will be windy. January's back.

The folks at Capital Weather Gang say that we could get a substantial amount of snow on Tuesday. What's substantial? We might get an inch, or four inches or more. Right now nobody's even thinking that it could be Snomageddon II. But conditions are changing, so keep your eyes to the sky and to All Life Is Local.
