Local Homeowners Participating in "Hope & Soap for Haiti"

A local organization is seeking donations of soap to send to Haiti.

One year after the Haiti earthquake, the country is plagued by multiple problems. In response, the nonprofit organization MoverMoms is spearheading a collection drive of all kinds of new bars of soap to help stop the spread of the deadly cholera infection, which has already claimed over 3,000 lives in Haiti.

A recent Washington Post article declared that "the difference between life and death in Haiti is now a bar of soap."

There are several drop off locations throughout the Washington metropolitan area, including one at 3386 Stephenson Place, NW.  Please drop off your soap at that address or any of the others listed below between now and February 14th, when the supplies will be picked up. Humanity First, the organization in Haiti that will be receiving the supplies, has agreed to deal with all logistics, transportation and distribution of donated soaps. For more information, contact MoverMoms @ aol.com or call 301-320-8836.
