Andy Kachor, an actor and filmmaker who lives in AU Park, is the costar of a 10-minute movie that was an official selection at the Sundance 2011 Film Festival.
The movie is a charming, funny short story of two New York roommates, Andy, who's awkward and socially clueless, and Zach, who's self-confident ... and preparing to move out of the tiny apartment he shares with Andy to live with his girlfriend. It's their last Christmas together, and Zach and his girlfriend are giving Andy some advice about a Christmas eve date with a girl Andy's met through an online matchmaker.
It's about male friendships but it departs quite unexpectedly from the usual buddy movie script. I won't give anything else away. It's definitely an enjoyable and memorable ten minutes spent with characters you'll be thinking about long afterward.
The movie was written and directed by Nick Paley and costars Zach Woods, better known for his role as Gabe Louis on NBC's hit show, The Office.
