The First Steps to the Capitol: Capitol Visitors Center Tour, Saturday, February 5th, 9:00 - 10:30am
Join the DC Preservation League and associates of the RTKL architectural firm for a visit to the Capitol Visitors Center. The US Capitol is one of the most recognizable and visited historic buildings in the world. RTKL was commissioned to provide an orientation center for visitors awaiting entry into this historic building. Walk through a guided tour and see a space that preserves the historic atmosphere and creates a setting befitting one of the world's most memorable structures.
The tour will be given by the current Architect of the Capitol, Stephen T. Ayers, AIA, LEED and Senior Vice President at RTKL, Rod Henderer, AIA, LEED
