Kareem Abdul Jabbar Speaking at UDC on February 14

Kareem Abdul Jabbar, considered one of the greatest athletes in American history, will speak at the University of the District of Columbia on Monday, February 14, 2011.  Jabbar will speak with UDC and Wilson High School students on basketball, history and life lessons.  He will also preview an upcoming documentary called On the Shoulders of Giants, based on Jabbar's book about the New York Renaissance Big Five (the "Harlem Rens") -- the greatest basketball team you never heard of.

"UDC welcomes this true giant to our campus," said Dr. Allen L. Sessoms, President of the University System of the District of Columbia.  "His message to our youth is a positive one and one from which we can all learn."
