I use Auntie Sarah in Rockville for my 14 year old basset hound. She will pick up your dog and return him as well. She can give medications and exercises the pets every day. She just is so into what she does. Her number is 240-401-3300. She takes care of pets in her home and has a fenced in yard. She can provide other references because she has been doing dog boarding and pet sitting for many, many years.

There is a great new boarding facility in Silver Spring called The Dog Stay. It has over 5,000 square feet indoors and a large outdoor area. Social dogs are uncrated, at the owner's request, and the dogs play all day. The dogs are divided into small and large dog areas. It's doggie heaven!

I've used Dogwood Acres for boarding my dog, Henry, for several years. The facility is modern, spacious and attractive, with a large fenced play yard. Clients use it for day care as well as for overnight boarding. The basic boarding cost is reasonable, with additional fees for extra attention. Henry has stayed there for 5 - 15 days. When I drop Henry off, I'm asked a lot of questions to ensure that his visit is comfortable for him and for me. He always seems a little reluctant to leave when I pick him up – always healthy, clean and happy. Dogwood Acres does not provide transportation, but it's not too far to drive.
