I've been going to Expert Shoe & Luggage Repair for years, even when I lived in Silver Spring! Their address is 3808 Northampton St., near the Avalon Theater, Magruder's, Post Office, Circle Yoga. Their phone number is 202-362-6681. They are also open until 6pm, which is convenient for working folks. They are not cheap but work quickly and do a good job. Note: They request payment up front, but do accept credit cards (no checks).
