Just ran through the Mall in DC. Lots of tourists OBSESSED with squirrels--videotaping, photographing them, as if they'd never seen one!
wow, totally have to recommend charlottesville as a weekend-away destination for dc residents. just enough to do--at the right prices.
Why does MPD have its name? B/c when created in 1861, had jurisdiction over all of "metro DC": Washington City, G'town and; Washington County.
I made it to Dupont Circle for my first day. It involved 2 trains, some running, and crossing the Potomac. So far, so good. #DC #newjob

I see it's drive like an idiot day in DC
To be honest do they really need the festival in dc anymore with all this crime going on during it?
Driving thru dc on a Sunday makes me realize how tourists are out of their minds. Totally oblivious of streets, let alone cars.
Nothing caps off a weekend like a $100 parking ticket. Thanks dc, I can't help that I'm from Maryland...parking 30 sec from the border.

dc police chief says crime is down in city but that's pushed crime to metro and policing the train and bus system is difficult.
if you're driving in DC to Georgia Ave . . . u must get a full tank of gas, cause thats what it's gonna take for you 2 find parking !
