Recommended: Windshield Repair

My husband and I had to have a windshield replaced on our SUV, because of severely cracked glass, but we had been considering replacing it even before that, because our windshield was old and very "sand-blasted."

Based on our very recent experience (last summer), we would very strongly recommend going to Banner Glass in Fairfax.  They're absolutely the best guys around -- which we found out only after we'd already gone through a bad business earlier.

Banner Glass installed a second new windshield for us after we had a really disastrous experience with another glass replacement company.  The previous company not only had installed the windshield incorrectly, but they also installed a windshield that was more scratched and banged up than the one we had replaced in the first place.

Our insurance company paid for the Banner Glass to do the windshield all over again -- and when they sent us there, our insurance agent told us that Banner Glass is the best in the glass business in this area. They also added that a lot of folks who've had bad experiences elsewhere get sent to Banner to fix their problems.

You can reach Banner Glass at (703) 273-9605.  They're on Route 50 near Route 123, so it's about a 45 minute drive from Northwest DC, but they are really worth their weight in gold! And, while they did our windshield, we could have waited in their shop, but instead we just hung out in a McDonalds (located only about 300 feet away), and surfed the net on our laptops until they finished some 45 minutes later.

Oh, and what about your registration/inspection sticker? They were able to take ours off and reapply it with no trouble at all! I don't know how they did that, but they did, and it looks great.  You'd never be able to tell it had been removed from one windshield and placed onto another in perfect condition. Needless to say, we were amazed about this.

A beautiful new windshield properly installed, coupled with excellent service have made us loyal Banner Glass customers.  We definitely wouldn't go anywhere else if we need auto glass (windshield, windows, etc.) again.
