Cleveland Park Day Is October 1st! One Week to Go

We're counting down the last seven days until Cleveland Park Day! This event is on Saturday, October 1st, from 1:00 to 5:00pm on Connecticut Avenue from Porter Street to Macomb Street. The service lane between Ordway Street and Porter will be closed to allow displays and activities.

This year it will be bigger and better than ever! (This is actually its second year in its current incarnation. There were Cleveland Park Days way back in the 20th Century, but we're not counting those.)

Here's the line-up for Cleveland Park Day 2011:
  • Free food and drink and samples by neighborhood merchants
  • National Zoo and community group tables
  • Celebrations of the 100th anniversaries of the Cleveland Park Citizens Association and of John Eaton School, with cermonial readings by Councilmember Mary Cheh
  • John Eaton table with T-shirts designed by the kids
  • Moonbounces and a dunk tank
  • Clowns (Judy and Gary Kopff)
  • Facepainting
  • President and Mrs. Grover Cleveland (John Chelen and Judy Hubbard)
  • McGruff the Crime Dog
  • Hook and Ladder Firetruck
  • Music in the Park'n'Shop
  • and MORE!

Hope to see you there!
