Restaurant Changes in Woodley Park: Jandara Out, District Kitchen In

We don't have much to report beyond what we've read on Prince of Petworth, but Jandara Restaurant in Woodley Park will be closing in two or three weeks, to be replaced by District Kitchen sometime in October.

Jandara won't be much missed, if you go by its ratings or its reviews on Yelp. When a restaurant gets an average review of just two stars (and people on Yelp do tend to be generous!), you know it's turning out a lot of dissatisfied customers.

This new restaurant, we are happy to report, is to be modeled on Woodbury Kitchen in Baltimore, Maryland, which averages four out of five stars on Yelp. That sounds promising. We are already thinking of doing do a follow-up, including a restaurant review, when Woodbury Kitchen is open for business.
