Here's your invitation to the (free) celebration at the Rock Creek Park Nature Center as Pokey turns 30!

Celebrate Pokey's 30th birthday with us!

Time: 10 am - 2 pm

Location: Nature Center, 5200 Glover Rd, NW

Join us for a shell-ebration like no other as we honor Pokey, Rock Creek Park’s long-time—and slowest-moving—team member! This free, family-friendly event includes:

• A timeline of Pokey’s life and park history
• Hands-on activities
• Exhibits exploring why Pokey lives at the Nature Center, the impact of removing plants and animals from the park, and stories of endangered turtles around the globe
