Grammy-nominated lutenist Ronn McFarlane's Ayreheart and vocalist Audrey Tornblom, at 7:30 on Friday, June 8, at the Takoma Park Community Center, 7500 Maple Avenue, Takoma Park, MD.  McFarlane is a lute performer of early music.  Ayreheart performs a blend of Celtic, folk, jazz and classical styles. No tickets are required, but donations will be accepted (the only compensation the performers receive).

Yard and bake at North Chevy Chase Christian Church Saturday, June 9, 10AM - 2PM. Previously owned household items & books, and treats The church is located at 8814 Kensington Parkway. Proceeds will go to sponsor youth participating in an annual church mission trip to help repair homes of impoverished families.

Mac Users Group meeting Saturday, June 9, 10 AM to 12 PM at the Cleveland Park Library. Experts will demo 2 popular applications for Mac and iOS devices: 1Password securely stores and recalls all your login passwords, and Evernote, the popular note taking program. More at www.nca-mug.org.

The 3rd Annual Washington Revels SunFest, Sunday, June 10  1 PM – 6:00 PM, downtown Silver Spring (Ellsworth between Georgia & Fenton). Free. Get your kids out for a unique way to celebrate the end of the school year at an all ages concert at the Barking Dog in Bethesda (4723 Elm St) this Sunday, June 10. Local middle school and high school bands will be performing from 5-9pm. Proceeds from the show benefit the Tahirith Justice Center, www.tahirih.org,  an organization dedicated to protecting immigrant women and children from violence.

Volta Park Day, Sunday, June 10 from 3:00 to 6:00pm, Community Picnic at Volta & 34th Street, NW. Softball, children's games, dunk tank, bake sale, flea market, and more. Rain or shine, free admission.

The Chorale of The Friday Morning Music Club Spring Concert featuring Franz Josef Haydn's  Cäcilienmesse , Hob.
