Get Out! It's Halloween on Saturday, Sunday, AND Monday

The thing about Halloween falling on a Monday is that you have a whole weekend of Halloween events before the actual date on October 31. Too many to list! So I've selected just one event for Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.

On Saturday, October 29, from 11 AM - 3 PM, it's HOWL-O-WEEN at the Guy Mason Community Center Dog Park, 3900 Calvert St NW, put on by the DC Department of Parks & Rec.

On Sunday, October 30, it's the SPOOKTACULAR at the Forest Hills Playground from 10 AM - 12 PM followed by Trick or Treating along Connecticut Avenue from 12 - 3 PM!!

Costumes! Spooky Stories! Magic! Everyone's favorite kid-friendly Halloween event is returning to Forest Hills Playground Sunday, October 30th from 10 AM - 12 PM. Parents and kids of all ages are invited to dress in their favorite costumes and gather at Forest Hills Playground for spooky-inspired activities followed by Trick or Treating at small businesses along Connecticut Ave in Wakefield, Forest Hills and Van Ness from 12-3 PM. Find our line-up of activities below. This event is free. Everyone is welcome!

SCHEDULE 10 AM - 12 PM:

DIY Pumpkin Crafts - 10:00 - 11:45 AM (while supplies last)

DIY Trick or Treat Bag Crafts – 10:00 – 11:45 AM (while supplies last)

Spooky Story Time - 10:30 - 10:50 AM

Magnificent Magic Show - 11:00 - 11:30 AM

Free mini croissants for the kiddos courtesy of Rosemary Bistro Cafe (starting at 10 AM, while supplies last).

On Monday October 31, from 3 - 6 pm, local Chevy Chase DC businesses will host Spooktacular trick or treating along the Connecticut Avenue commercial corridor.

Trick or treat along the commercial corridor. Participating businesses from Chevy Chase Circle to Livingston Street and side streets - Look for the balloons!
