All the wee ghosties, goblins, ghoulies, witches, wizards, and whatnots have many chances to clean up, candy-wise, this Halloween. That great annual Cleveland Park tradition, the Halloween Parade, is back for another year: It's on Friday, October 30 starting at 3:30 PM at the Macomb Street Playground, hosted by the Cleveland Park Community Association.
Then on Halloween itself, stop by the Second District Police Station at Idaho Avenue any time between 4 and 7 PM. It's.....

You can expect lovely fall weather on Saturday for trick-or-treating -- so says the Capital Weather Team.
And then after you get your tired, candy-stuffed kiddies out of their costumes and into their pajamas and say "nitey-nite" -- but before you pack it in for the night yourself, remember to turn the clocks back one hour. It's the trickiest of tricks for those of us who have old-style oven clocks, car clocks, and other do-it-yourself/not-controlled-by-the-internet-style clocks. But just possibly for the last time: It's NITEY-NITE, DST!
Enjoy your extra hour of sleep!
