Reasons Not to Watch the Superbowl Today

Planning to watch the Superbowl later today?  You may want to rethink that, especially if you are a macho man.  According to an article just posted on the Daily Beast, watching the Superbowl on TV while eating the usual snacks may result in reduced testosterone levels.  You can read the article here.

If the science doesn't persuade you to stay away from the TV, maybe one, or a few, or all of these Top Ten Reasons Not to Watch the Superbowl will strike a chord.  The list is by prizewinning journalist and novelist Rudolf Ogoo Okonkwo, who blogs from his home in New York City. (Just ignore the date on the article. It's the underlying premises that count.)

If you choose not to watch, here's what we suggest instead: Go out to a neighborhood restaurant. Superbowl Sunday is a slow night for most restaurants, with everyone gathered around the TV at home. You'll get great service, it will be quiet, and the owners will really appreciate your patronage (though they may be in the back themselves, glued to the game).
