Can I Get You a Cup of Coffee?

This tip, which comes from Real Simple, was in an article about what to say and do when your flight's been canceled. But this bit of advice is so good, so valuable, that we wanted to share it and declare that it's universally applicable:

Can I Get You a Cup of Coffee?

People who have been on their feet or at their desk all day may not have had a chance to take a break, and the gesture, even if they can't or don't need to accept it, might go a long way toward helping you get on that next flight, or whatever else you need. You'll certainly stand out from 99 percent of all the other customers clamoring for service from that service representative that day.
