Follow the DC Government on Twitter

I'm new to Twitter. I have to admit I did not see the value in it before Friday's power outage in Cleveland Park.  When plunged into a world of limited connectivity and short-term battery backup life, suddenly the value of communicating in short bursts, sending quick, brief updates had a newfound appeal for me.

Not only did I see Twitter as a way to send out my own fast status updates by phone, but I found it a way to receive real-time information.  The DC government, I discovered, is veritable symphony of tweeted news.  Name a DC government agency and you can sign up for its Twitter feed to keep up with all its latest endeavors.
