Recommended: Electrician

Our companion email list, the Cleveland Park Listserv, is a treasure trove of recommendations. Need a plumber at 10am on Saturday or an electrician who can wire up your home fusion reactor? The Cleveland Park Listserv will let you find that person.

While it would be overwhelming to post all of the recommendations for home repair people on All Life Is Local, we wanted to share with you, on a periodic basis, the best recommendations that have been posted on the Cleveland Park Listserv. You'll be able to search All Life Is Local for "contractor," "plumber," "auto body shop" -- whatever you need. The search box, in case you have trouble finding it, is to the right and down a bit.
I can highly recommend John Koutsoulis: 240-876-6002 He's done numerous jobs for us, both big and small, and handled them all with skill and reliability. He's extremely competent and extremely nice. I think he's fairly priced , and delivers a great work product. He often goes that extra mile to do things in the way that makes the least damage for us. He'll carefully run wire in tight difficult places in order to avoid making holes in our walls or having visible wires, for example. He's been a pleasure to deal with. I know that others whom I've recommended him to have been equally pleased.

  2. I've met John before while fielding project offers. He comes off as a very rushed, rude, and pushy individual. I don't know how someone could characterize him as an "extremely nice" person. Perhaps his proficiency and skill as an electrician makes up for his lack of a courteous demeanor.
