Yale Kaplan: 301-762-5900. I was referred to him when I had a complicated return. He was great, and I have used him ever since. He used to work at one of the big four but now has his own shop. I recommend him heartily.

We use Taxmasters (Linda DeMarlor) in Rockville 301/230-0200. Highly recommended. We have a very complex tax return, two incomes, filing in two states, business expenses for home office, adoption expenses, mileage and meals between two states. She's very knowledgable, has a tax attorney on staff.

I recommend Harry Bacas at The Original Tax Center on Connecticut Avenue. He has been in
the business for a long time and is very thorough.

We have been using Tony Cola since his days in Spring Valley. Sadly he is now in Rockville, but we have stuck with him because we have a very complex (foreign assets, bank accounts, kids' trusts, etc.) tax prep process and he is always great. I use Steve Edwards and or Jill Timmons at Timmons Edwards at the Air Rights  Building in Bethesda, 301-654-6565. They have been doing my very complex taxes (multiple state returns, personal and corporate, pension plans, etc.) for more than 20 years. They are terrific, have great staff and are immediately responsive.

We use Bill Abell of Flynn & Abell in Bethesda. He does business and nonprofit tax returns for us.
