We also had a wonderful person repair some of our old windows and sashes. He was very careful, skilled, and reasonable, and a really lovely guy. Our windows are old, too (1920s house), but not extremely detailed or special, but he did remove one whole splintered old window frame, glue it back together, and put it back in the window, for very little. Eventually I will have him fix and replace all of our windows. Our neighbor also hired him and was happy with him. The name of the business is Chevy Chase Windows, phone number: 240-413-4207.
You're very fortunate to have found someone who's skilled enough to fix that window of yours. It's amazing how your windows have withstood the test of time.
