Tackle Box Opens in Cleveland Park

Tackle Box has opened in Cleveland Park, and it's a big yay! Not just because Cleveland Park has another new, and excellent restaurant, but because the space that Tackle Box has opened has been vacant for half a decade.

Here's a short review of Tackle Box, a mostly seafood restaurant, that was posted last night on our companion email list, the Cleveland Park Listserv:
Tonight I was fortunate to have dined at The Tackle Box (TTB), Cleveland Park's newest dining establishment. I thought I would give it try after the generous invitation on the Cleveland Park Listserv. I arrived at 7 p.m. and while there was a line, it was not really long and everyone was really collegial. TTB staff handed out an abridged menu of complimentary fare for today, as well as the full menu that will be available with the grand opening in a few days. They were able to respond to everyone's questions.
I would like to extend my thanks to the line staff, chefs, and management. The food was hot, attractive, and delicious. The portions were enormous and the hospitality was priceless! This was the consummate way to build community with neighbors meeting neighbors over free wine, beer, soft drinks, oysters, shrimp, calamari, and any other seafood you might have desired.
This incredible goodwill effort definitely won me over as a new customer!
