Police Reports: Weekend Brawls in Georgetown, Downtown, and Dupont

Sunday's report from the Second District Police Department had details of the following four crimes that occurred over the weekend. First, an attack on a man who was asleep in his car in Georgetown:

On Friday, July 15, 2011, at 11:30 p.m. an Assault with a Deadly Weapon offense occurred in the 3600 block of M St., NW (PSA 206) and was subsequently reported to the MPD.

The victim reported that while sleeping in his car, four unknown subjects pulled him out and assaulted him with unknown objects. The victim received non-life threatening injuries and was released from the hospital. There was no additional lookout information provided.

Also in Georgetown, later that night (actually in the wee hours of the morning) an unruly patron slapped an employee of a business. From the timing and location of the incident, it seems likely that this happened at a bar.

On Saturday, July 16, 2011, at 1:58 a.m. a Simple Assault offense occurred in the 2900 block of M St., N.W. (PSA 206) and was subsequently reported to the MPD.

The victim reported that a customer was unruly and he subsequently escorted them out of the establishment. Once outside, the subject slapped the victim. The MPD was summoned to the location and arrested the suspect who was then charged accordingly. This is a closed case.

This report is clearly about a barroom brawl. The address is downtown, Connecticut at M Street:

On Saturday, July 16, 2011, at 1:30 a.m. a Felony Assault offense occurred in the 1200 block of Connecticut Ave., N.W. (PSA 208) and was subsequently reported to the MPD.

The victim reported that while inside an establishment he and another male were involved in a verbal dispute which turned physical when the other subject struck him in the facial area with a closed fist. After bouncers rushed in the suspect fled out the front door.

The suspect is described as a White/Male, 24-25 years of age, 6'0", and was last seen wearing brown pants and a white shirt.
The final incident happened at an establishment in Dupont Circle, and judging from the time of night, most likely a bar, as well:

Between Saturday, July 16, 2011, 3:30 a.m. and 4:00 a.m. a Theft Two offense occurred in the 1700 block of Connecticut Ave., N.W. (PSA 208) and was subsequently reported to the MPD.

The reporting person stated that two subjects entered the establishment and asked for free food. After the reporting person told them he didn't have any at that time and then turned away from the subjects, one of the subjects reached into the tip jar on the counter. The reporting person turned, saw what was happening and attempted to stop the suspect. The suspect threatened to do bodily harm to him if he touched him and both then turned, walked out of the store and then down Connecticut Ave. toward Dupont Circle. An unknown amount of U.S. Currency was stolen.

The suspects are described as:

#1-Black/Female, 5'3"-5'4", 165-170 lbs. with black dread locks, a medium build and a dark complexion. She was last seen wearing a black shirt and green pants.
#2-Black/Female, 5'6"-5'7", 165-170 lbs. with black dread locks, a heavy build and a light complexion. She was last seen wearing a white shirt and white pants.
