Come Up with Best New Idea to Improve DC and Win an Amazon Kindle

We're running a new contest. This time it's an idea contest. A new Amazon Kindle goes to the person who comes up with the best idea that answers the question, "What innovation does the District of Columbia need most?" Your idea can be practical or fanciful, inexpensive or costing billions, agreeable or controversial. Send us your idea along with a short explanation of how your idea will change the District.  Here are two examples:

"Install wifi on buses. This would dramatically increase the number of people who ride the bus, and reduce the number of cars on the road.  Just about everyone will want to ride the bus. This will decrease pollution and save lives as more people take to using buses."

"Genetically engineer and release a virus that turns pigeons into multi-colored birds.  DC should fund research to genetically alter pigeons so that their feathers look like parrot feathers. Doing this would make DC look like a tropical paradise."

Send your idea for our Best DC Idea Contest to greatdcidea @ fastmail.net. The contest closes on January 31, 2012. You need to be a  Cleveland Park Listserv member to enter.

The winner will receive a brand new Amazon Kindle and the top runners-up will be announced on the  Cleveland Park Listserv, along with the winner.
