Get Out! The cherry blossoms are gone but there are still 2 more big events! The Cherry Blossom Parade (Sat) & the Japanese Street Fair (Sat & Sun)

The pink blossoms are done and the cherry trees are now leafed out with green -- and it's time for the last big events that close out the Cherry Blossom Festival 2023: There's the Cherry Blossom Parade on Saturday starting at 10 am, and the Sakura Japanese Street Fair on both Saturday and Sunday

THE NATIONAL CHERRY BLOSSOM FESTIVAL PARADE

The Nation’s Springtime Parade is returning to Constitution Avenue on Saturday, April 15, 2023! Grand colorful helium balloons, elaborate floats, marching bands from across the country, celebrity entertainers, and performers burst down the Parade route in a spectacle of music and showmanship celebrating spring in Washington, DC.

One of DC's largest spectator events, the energy-filled National Cherry Blossom Festival Parade® presented by EventsDC runs for 10 blocks along iconic Constitution Avenue. 
Portions of the Parade (Constitution Ave between 9th & 15th Streets) are free to the public along the route and are first-come, first-serve.

PRICE: $40 Telecast (East End, 7th - 9th Streets) $25-$30 Grandstand (West End, 15th - 17th Streets)

Terms and Conditions:
  • Tickets must be printed - no digital tickets
  • Parade is rain or shine - no umbrellas in seats
  • Sections 1-26 MUST be seated by 9:45am
  • All guests must have a ticket to enter the grandstands except children under 2 sitting on laps - no strollers in seats

The Sakura Matsuri – Japanese Street Festival is the largest celebration of Japanese culture in the United States. The festival features over 24 hours of Japanese cultural performances on four stages (including J-Pop, traditional Japanese music, and martial arts) and a diverse range of cultural exhibitors, artisan and commercial vendors of traditional and contemporary Japanese goods, and Japanese and other food and beverages. The festival also spotlights travel and tourism opportunities and innovative Japanese technologies.
