DC Federation of Civic Associations Awards Dinner November 4

Here's a worthy event we thought we'd pass along to our civic-minded readers:

You are cordially invited to the 81st Annual Awards Celebration and Dinner of the DC Federation of Civic Associations.

When: Friday, November 4, 2011, starting at 6:30pm
Where: Washington Navy Yard Catering and Conference Center, 1411 Parsons Avenue, SE, Washington, DC (photo ID required for admission)

This annual gathering of community and civic leaders of Washington, D.C. recognizes individuals and organizations for outstanding service to the communities of the District. Dinner proceeds support the Federation’s scholarship fund. Since 1968, the Federation has been awarding scholarships to high school graduates of the District of Columbia Public Schools. The student scholarships range between $500 and $3,000.
