Re: Conversion of 2-hour Metered Parking Zone to 30-minute Metered Parking Zone along the 3300-3400 Block of Connecticut AVE NW

Pursuant to the “Administrative Procedure Amendment Act of 2000” D.C. LAW 13-249 (48 DCR 3491 April 20, 2001), the District Department of Transportation (DDOT) is required to give a written notice of our intent (NOI) to modify traffic and/or parking requirements. This letter is being forwarded to you for the purpose of notification and solicitation of comments on our intent to implement the following in your jurisdiction:
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
DDOT will convert the existing on-street 2-hour metered parking zones on the 3300-3400 blocks of Connecticut Avenue NW and adjacent streets to 30-minute metered parking zones. DDOT will convert nearby residential and unregulated on-street parking zones to 30-minute metered parking zones. DDOT will also convert the existing the existing 2-hour commercial loading zones on the 3400 block of Connecticut Avenue NW to 30-minute commercial loading zones.
DETAILED PROPOSED ACTIONS
DDOT will convert 710 feet (35 spaces) of the existing on-street 2-hour metered parking zone on the 3300-3400 blocks of Connecticut Avenue NW and 2700 block of Ordway Street NW to 30minute metered parking zones. DDOT will also convert unregulated on-street parking zones on the north side of the 2900 block of Macomb Street NW and 2700 block of Ordway Street NW, and the residential parking zone on the south side of the 2900 block of Newark Street NW to 30minute metered parking zones.
DDOT will convert the existing 2-hour commercial loading zones on the 3400 block of Connecticut Avenue NW to 30-minute commercial loading zones. DDOT will increase commercial loading space allocation in the area by converting 71 feet (3 spaces) of metered District Department of Transportation | 250 M Street, SE | Washington, DC 20003 | 202.671.6813 | www.ddot.dc.gov parking to 30-minute commercial loading zones. This is intended to facilitate parking turnover and respond to curbside demand in support of ANC3C Resolution 2023-011.
