Oh Yes, There Was an Aurora After All...Outside of Fairbanks

On the night of April 13 Cleveland Parkers Carol and Lew Simon saw the aurora borealis that Accuweather had forecast to be visible here in the neighborhood. It was spectacularly visible in their neighborhood, Fairbanks, Alaska, where they are spending a year.





Lew comments: "Carol and I think of the aurora shows as reward for enduring -40F, 20-hour darkness all winter. We're now up to 14+ hours of daylight and increasing about 8 minutes daily."

From the look of these photos, perhaps not a bad trade-off, I'd say
