Horizons Greater Washington is a six-week summer enrichment program and Saturday program that serves a diverse population of public school children from low-income families, providing academic, cultural, and recreational programs. Maret School, St. Patrick’s Episcopal Day School, and Norwood School serve as partners with a purpose, facilitating a deep level of connection between school communities that typically operate independently.
The Horizons Maret Volunteer Council is coordinating the sixth annual in-store Politics and Prose Book Sale benefiting Horizons Greater Washington on Saturday, November 19 from 9 a.m. - 9 p.m. Stop by and purchase a book for yourself or someone on your holiday list – or choose from one of the Wish List Books for the Horizons program. At the register, identify yourself as with Horizons, and Politics and Prose will donate 20% of the all proceeds of sales of books, CDs, and gifts items to Horizons.
